Hand it any moment of reality. Get back something reality can test.
The Specification is the reconstruction engine at the heart of the network — the general reverse-engineer that turns an anonymous work-product into a specification precise enough to be collided against the world.
Any finite representation of a situation.
A transcript, a codebase, a contract, a physical specification, a proof, a market guide, a character, a claim. The engine treats every input as an unknown system whose relationship to reality must be reconstructed — no author, no source, no authority carried along.
It enters a target without inheriting the candidate's explanation of why it succeeds, or the critic's explanation of why it fails. The world is reconstructed before the verdict is inherited.
It renders the input into a specification with a bar it must clear.
The load-bearing claim
The one thing the work-product actually asserts — and the exact bar that claim must clear to be real.
The required parts
Each component and the contract it must satisfy, extracted from the input, not invented around it.
The executable tests
Every statement paired with a test that can run — so the specification can be judged, not merely believed.
The edge cases
Null, self-referential, adversarial — the inputs a real reconstruction has to survive.
Where the input outruns what it establishes, the engine marks the wall — the first unresolved transition — and names the next object that would cross it.
Then it hands the specification to the Referee.
The External Validator forges a gauntlet from the specification and collides it against reality. The verdict is a pure function of what fired — never the engine's own opinion of its own work.
PROVEN when the work survives every probe. DISPROVEN when it breaks. NULL — honest, never a default — when the evidence cannot reach the claim. A proof that was never real is never minted.
What one engine banked in a single August.
Receipt-anchored and kernel-witnessed. The live recompute of the ledger's root lives on MAN.
Demonstrated across physics, law, security, institutions, and the engine's own architecture. The nouns change; the receipt grammar survives.
The architecture, and the receipts.
MAN
The network the engine is a node of — and the live recompute of its root.
